I’m selling my highly customized 1974 Datsun 620 mini truck. Cost of the truck is $10,000. Subtract $1,000 if you don’t want the wheels/tires for a sale price of $9,000 without wheels.

These trucks usually have 6 lug wheels and are on leaf springs, so its very rare to see one slammed on cool wheels like this. The stock suspension is terrible too, the suspension on this truck has been completely modernized.

I bet one can barely turn the truck.

At which point we ask why did he leave the motor alone and prominently picture vehicle on a trailer in ad.

He did some cool mods, but I can’t see paying more than two grand for it. I suppose that for a real enthusiast , maybe four grand. Maybe.

Given a combination of modifications that made it unusable as a vehicle, i.e. worth less than the sum of its parts.

Somehow this is more reasonable than the cracky crack crack pipe 620 I just posted about. That had some somehow worse wheels and some half hearted audio mods for $6,000.

If you wanted to do this to a 620, you wouldn’t buy one already done. Crack pipe.

I love the look of it, but probably not enough to want to own it. And if I did, I think I’d be a buyer at like $4,000.  But that’s only after I take a hard look at the rear suspension work.

I’m not prepared to be that generous here without a detailed inspection.

What a world we live in where I would not hesitate to drop $2k on a bicycle but call out a shit truck on craigslist for being listed too damn high.

The bike for two grand isn’t +40 years old and been hacked up by someone.  It’s probably been sitting in pristine condition for a few years after someone separated their self image from a lack of training or time to pursue it.
